Rich brings nearly three decades of civil litigation, negotiation, and problem-solving experience to Reynolds Family Law. His background includes medical-malpractice litigation in Philadelphia and more than 11 years as Director of Claims and in-house counsel for a major East Coast health system.

That experience helps Rich assess complicated issues calmly, explain the real options in front of you, and stay focused on the outcome that will matter most after the case is over.

Rich’s Path to Family Law

Rich came to family law by a route most attorneys don’t take. He’d spent years in medical-negligence litigation, healthcare, and risk and claims management when he and Karen decided to build something of their own. They had a clear vision to combine her years inside the local family court with his litigation and negotiation experience, and use both to guide people through some of the hardest decisions of their lives with real, hands-on attention. Rich still keeps a hand in medical-negligence work, though these days he’s on the side of the patients.

Beyond the Office

Rich and Karen met at Villanova Law and have lived in Chester County for 34 years. A product of The Haverford School, Rich has deep Philadelphia-area roots. Outside the office, the two share two sons, two dogs, a devotion to Philadelphia sports, Broadway shows, and travel.
